UMT Project Essentials pricing and licensing options provide support for both on-premise and hosted deployments through a perpetual license and subscription based service.

Perpetual License

  • Similar to Project Server 2010, UMT Project Essentials perpetual option follows a Server License and Client Access License (CAL) model
  • Any user accessing UMT Project Essentials cost & benefit management capabilities and data (through the Project Server 2010 user interface, the UMT Essentials API or Cubes or any other means) will need to purchase an individual CAL
  • A UMT Project Essentials Server License is required for each Web Front End (WFE) and Application Server hosting a Project Server 2010 instance, as well as for each SQL Reporting Server setup in integrated mode
  • Customers can take advantage of the volume based pricing discounts when buying larger quantities of CALs
  • An administrator CAL is automatically included with the purchase of each UMT Project Essentials server license to allow for installation, configuration and deployment

Subscription License

  • The subscription option requires a monthly fee per user to access the capabilities included in UMT Project Essentials or UMT Project Essentials Pro
  • Any user accessing UMT Project Essentials financial management capabilities and data (through the Project Server 2010 user interface, the UMT Essentials API or Cubes or any other means) will need to purchase an user CAL per month
  • Administrator CALs and all User CALs are priced the same in the subscription model
  • Discounts are based on volume and prepayment of subscription license
    • 5% discount for 6 month prepayment
    • 10% discount for 12 month prepayment
  • Premium Support and Software Assurance are automatically included in the Subscription model
